How nice it would have been if this had worked out. Instead I got a job, have had no time to work out and actually put weight back on. I should just delete this, but what’s a little self loathing among friends?
ROFL at this page’s existence
July 27th, 2009Welcome to the body revolution
February 26th, 2009I’ve been reulctant about posting weight loss stuff before because of the shame and embarassment that comes with failure to reach goals. Too bad. This time I’m finishing what I started four years ago. Back then I lost 40 lbs, going from 260 to 220. I’ve maintained right around there for the past four years. I got as low as 215 last September, and right now I’m walking around at a little heftier 217.
Starting Monday, I’m going to be starting the P90X system. If you’re blessed with the time to watch tv in the early hours, you’ve probably seen the infomercials. Luckily, I didn’t have to pay $120 for the DVDs. I took the practice fitness pre-test today and passed (barely).
I’ve been going over what the routine is going to be, and trying to figure out what time to do stuff. This is really going to kick my butt, which is exactly what I want it to do.
It’s always good to set goals, so here we go.
1. Drop 35 lbs.
2. Do 5 pullups.
3. Run a <8 minute mile.
4. Dunk.
I like those. If I can pull that off, I’ll be pleased. Currently I can’t even do one pullup, but the extra 40 lbs I’ve got hanging on me probably isn’t helping that.
I’ll be posting regularly with updates, pictures, etc.
