And so it has come to pass

I’ve just found out that I did not get selected for that job. So be it. I will find a way to make this work until something else comes along. My old buddy Job had it right. “The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Amen to that, my friend. I have no idea how I’m going to get out of the quandary I’m in, but I’ll find a way.

Somehow.

My, what a week can change.

This one’s been rough. I should find out if I got that job sometime today. I have to admit that, due to other circumstances, the odds are highly stacked against me. I’m counting on a miracle to pull it off. If I don’t get it, life is about to become more complicated than I care to contemplate. I still hope, though. (Thanks, Dan.)

Isaiah 43:18-19

18 “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.

19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.

Whether I get this job or have to find something else, God has something new for me, and I can’t wait to see what it is.

This day has potential.

So, I’ve got an interview for a great job this afternoon. I’ve spent the last four days preparing and I’ve got good feelings about it. Now, I don’t mean that I’ve got some kind of hunch that the job is mine before interviewing. I feel confident that the outcome, whatever it may be, will be Good.

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'” – Jeremiah 29:11

If it is God’s will for me to take this awesome step forward, then together, We’ll walk into that board room together and knock them dead. He will give me the poise and the words to say to win them over.

As much as I really want this job, and as many problems as it would solve with our ever struggling finances, if it is not in His plan for my life to get this job, then it will pass from me with no protest. In either circumstance, I will praise the God who watches over me and causes all circumstances to eventually work for Good.

Say hello

to Ava Noelle. Yes, she has a name now, and it’s as beautiful as she is. I’m home from the hospital for an hour or so to update this, grab some stuff, and give Leigh Ann a few minutes to rest from all the visiting she’s been doing today. Every picture we’ve taken so far is in the Gallery.

Ava Noelle

Enjoy, and see you tomorrow!

Welcome to the world, kid!

At 3:17PM, we welcomed our second daughter into this world. ______ Ingraldi weighed in at 8lbs 0oz and is 21″ long. We’ve waited so long for her to show up, it’s hard to believe she’s actually here. (Crying about 7′ to my left, to be exact.)

No pictures yet. For some reason this laptop won’t recognize my camera. Tomorrow, I’ll get things uploaded in a friendly format for our daughter to make her debut.

Hopefully she’ll have a name by then. :O

It’s official. When a three year old tells you something, it must be true.
