As evidenced by your browser address bar, everything has been migrated to, with the exception of comments on old posts. I’ve got a big post brewing somewhere; but first, I feel the need to play.

The mother of all updates (almost).

So, here it is a full two and a half months since the last update. That’s the problem with maintaining this thing. I promise myself I’ll keep it active, then a week or two goes by where I’m too busy to do anything with it, then i feel embarrassed to update it, so nothing ever gets done. Here’s an update for those that care:

We decided to sell our house and move away from our noisy neighbors, the noisy street, and the giant electrical tower in our back yard. The house sold and we’ve found a nice new place to move into. The move is scheduled for 5/18.
I got a new job at the same place I currently work. I start that Monday, so, that’s fairly exciting. My new paycheck won’t be too shabby either.

The kid’s going on the toilet almost all the time now.

In short, God’s been good, just as He promised.

On another subject, I’ve been thinking about moving all of this over to and changing the format of this to something more family specific. If you care, send me an e-mail and let me know if you have any ideas for updates.

New beginnings

So, a new look and a new blog. Got a new pair of running shoes too. Did a quick 1 mile jaunt around the neighborhood and my feet aren’t aching, so that’s a start. Hopefully, they’ll wear in nicely and I’ll get at least 200 miles out of them before all the cushion is gone. Since I just went and spent a chunk of change on new shoes, this means I have to start a new commitment to working out and weight loss. I’ve dropped 40 lbs since April, but things have mellowed out in the last couple of months. Things have just crept up to dampen progress; shoes dying, hamstring problems, life in general. Now, I’ll get a fresh start. That run was nice. It felt good to get out there and push concrete for a while again.

Hamstring still hurts. I guess nothing’s ever completely new again, is it?
